Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLESn70), commonly known as sodium lauryl ether sulfate (SLES), is an anionic detergent and surfactant found in many personal care products (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.). Texapen is a cheap and very effective foaming agent. Texapen, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), ammonium lauryl sulfate (ALS) are surfactants that are used in many cosmetic products due to their cleansing and emulsifying properties. They act like soap. It is obtained from palm kernel oil or coconut oil.

Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLESn70), commonly known as sodium lauryl ether sulfate (SLES), is an anionic detergent and surfactant found in many personal care products (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.). Texapen is a cheap and very effective foaming agent. Texapen, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), ammonium lauryl sulfate (ALS) are surfactants that are used in many cosmetic products due to their cleansing and emulsifying properties. They act like soap. Its chemical formula is CH3(CH2)11(OCH2CH2)nOSO3Na. Sometimes the number shown is indicated by n in the name, for example laureth-2 sulfate. It is heterogeneous in terms of the number of ethoxyl groups, where n is the average. Laureth-3 sulfate is common in commercial products.

Sodium lauryl ether sulfate is prepared by ethoxylation of dodecyl alcohol, which is industrially produced from palm kernel oil or coconut oil. The related surfactant sodium lauryl sulfate (also known as sodium dodecyl sulfate or SDS) is produced similarly, but without the ethoxylation step. SLS and ammonium lauryl sulfate (ALS) are usually substitutes for SLES in consumer products.

 

Texapen production method:

There are different methods of producing Texapen, the most important of which is the Trikib SLES method with the ethoxylation of dodecyl alcohol, which is industrially produced from palm kernel oil or coconut oil.

SDS is a substance that is synthesized from the reaction of chlorosulfuric acid with the reaction of lauryl alcohol with sulfur trioxide gas to produce hydrogen lauryl sulfate.

The product produced from this reaction is neutralized with sodium hydroxide or liquid soda or its solid form which is baking soda or another important chemical liquid called sodium carbonate which is also known as baking soda and lauryl alcohol can be used in its pure form.

 

Texapen storage conditions:

Another important point about Texapen that should be considered is its storage and storage conditions.

And the third most important thing to pay attention to when storing Texapen is to store this substance in a dry and cool environment and away from moisture. The ideal temperature for storing this material is around 30 degrees Celsius.

Avoid storing Texapen next to strong oxidizing reagents and strongly acidic materials, and it is better to store it in plastic packaging or stainless steel barrels.

 

Texapon uses

Texapene (SLES n70) is an excellent anionic surfactant, soluble in water, with excellent detergent, emulsifying, dissolving and foaming properties and hard water repellency.

  1. Texapen (sodium lauryl ether sulfate) is widely used in liquid detergents. Such as shampoo, dishwashing detergent, toilet liquid, etc
  2. If sodium lauryl ether sulfate (Texapone) is used to partially replace sulfonic acid, phosphate can be saved or reduced, and the general dose of the active ingredient in washing powder and detergents for heavy dirt may be reduced.
  3. Texapen (Texapon N70) can be used as a lubricant, dyeing agent, cleaner, foaming agent and degreasing agent. Such as printing and dyeing industry, oil industry and leather industry.
